They are so loved, so needed and so frustrating! There is nothing that runs deeper than the love of a grandparent, and that is why they let our children get away with murder. They know that disciplining them is our job now, so they treat and spoil and love our children with all their heart.
From a parent's perspective, this is frustrating and infuriating. Not only because as children we were not allowed, by these same people, to do half the things our children are now allowed to do, but also, because it makes our job harder as parents.
At least we know, that one day, if we are lucky enough, we will also be grandparents, and then it is our time!
My question today is, how do you handle situations where your opinion as parent differ from that of the grandparent?
