MATERNITY LEAVE

Writer's picture: Mama Theo.RiMama Theo.Ri

Where I live, we are legally allowed to have 4 months of maternity leave. Your employer does not have to pay you any salary for those four months, but hey, at least you get 4 months, right? So, my four months is almost up. According to WOW, babies needs to be breastfed at least up to 6 months of age. As a teacher, who barely gets time to eat or pee on a normal day at school, where will I find the time to pump enough milk to feed my baby? Do I now put my baby on formula? There is always the option to stay at home for two more months, but how will I pay for food, clothes and nappies as this will be fully unpaid leave, and not just half as I have been receiving the last four months. I really, really do not want to return to work, but as far as I can tell, there are currently no other available options. Any advice? 💛 Mama Theo.Ri
