Do children really have separation anxiety, or do we teach it to them by freaking out in front of them because we don't want to leave them? They then get anxious because to them, it might look like we are leaving them forever? Could it be that it is us as parents that has separation anxiety and our kids are actually fine?
My hypothesis is, they mostly don't care who they are with, as long as they are given enough attention, and not hungry or hurt, they are most probably quite content. . If your children are assured that you will return for them, will they still fear being left somewhere without you? If your child suffers from separation anxiety, please give me some more info. How do you handle it? What do you do to ease your child into being left somewhere? Do you also suffer from it?
