Today, at my school, we attended a Strengths Development workshop. We all had to do an online assessment and then discussed our strengths and how to use them purposefully in our roles at school and in our daily lives.
Right at the beginning of the session, the presenter asked, "What is your purpose in life?" At first I did not really think it through, felt it such a cliché. Then he said, "Really think about it. I want all of you to write on an A4 paper what you feel is your purpose in life." This got me thinking. The simple act of having to write it down. How profound.
What is my purpose, why am I here? What is most important to me?
I will not share my A4 today, but I would love to challenge each and every one that reads this to write your own A4.
What is your purpose in life? Your purpose as a parent, a spouse, an employee or employer. Paste it in your diary, on your fridge or on you mirror or wall, wherever you will see it often, and live true to your purpose.
